I genuinely don’t understand people that decide to hate things solely because they’re popular. Like, I’ve said on here that I think Fortnite is a good game and I’ve gotten hate mail for it. Like, immediate hate mail. Like I said “yeah lots of people play it and lots of kids seem to love it” and IMMEDIATELY someone was in my inbox like “UH JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS POPULAR DOESN’T MEAN ITS GOOD DIPSHIT.” 

Undertale. JoJo. Fortnite. Call of Duty. The Dark Souls games.

Marvel movies.

All of these things got popular, and suddenly mentioning them became a joke to the “enlightened internet users.” Making fun of those things and people’s enjoyment of those things puts you in the same category as people that complain about normies. Or people that make fun of women for buying Pumpkin Spice Lattes. You’re performatively disliking something that’s popular because you want to feel unique and superior. 

Just makes you look like an asshole to everybody else. And I’d like to thank everyone that’s about to reply to this post with the “real reason” these things are bad and why I’m a dumbass for liking them for proving my point.
